There are people within the Community Sector who have dedicated their lives to achieving great outcomes for the community and making Western Sydney a better, more equitable place to live. The ZEST Hall of Fame was designed to recognise the fantastic contributions that these individuals have made.
To be eligible for consideration for induction into the ZEST Hall of Fame, inductees must have worked for over 10 years in the Community Services Sector in Western Sydney and have made an extraordinary impact within the Community Services Sector.
The Western Sydney University has been a central part of Western Sydney’s community since its inception, playing an active role in the development, well-being and prosperity of the community.
The Western Sydney University Unsung Heroes award was conceived to ensure that Western Sydney University students who contribute to the community can be recognised. To be nominated for the Western Sydney University Unsung Heroes Award, a nominee must:
Work as a volunteer or a part-time employee for a community organisation based in Western Sydney.
Be enrolled to study at the Western Sydney University in 2019.
When an individual or project is nominated for a ZEST Award, they will automatically be considered to receive the NEW ZEST Partnering for Impact Grant valued at $5000 to support their work, funded by ARUP Australia.
Must strongly demonstrates that the group or individual fosters continued collaboration and meaningful community engagement as part of their process
Must demonstrates how collaborative approaches involving key stakeholders, such as community, business and/or government, have been used to drive impact for communities in Western Sydney
Must demonstrates a desire to scale the approach or initiative through further partnerships
